The poker pro challenges anyone to a Heads-up NLHE game
The battle will go down in December, should anyone accept it
Online poker is one of today’s most wide spread card games, and it’s definitely a great addition to any online gambling site, whether it’s an online poker room or an online casino. Due to its versatility, poker can be played alone, against a computer, or against other players, which is how the online poker industry prefers it.
It’s this “head to head” game play that has everybody loving the sport. It’s how the major poker tournaments are played, and how the poker superstars are made – there’s a whole list of poker sites that can hardly wait for the next big “Phil Ivey”. And it’s these poker superstars that bring that extra element many fans are looking for.
One of the online poker pros that is always in the center of attention is Daniel Cates, better known by his online poker handle, Jungleman12. He didn’t miss out on the opportunity to bathe in the spotlights for a bit, so he recently sent out a challenge to any poker player that wants to face him. Unlike other challenges of this kind, this won’t take place online, but face to face, in a heads-up battle during the Prague Poker Festival, which will take place this December.
Cates’ move comes after a couple months of absence. After the Black Friday events, which put an end to many players’ careers within the United States, Jungleman12 tried to move in Canada, but he was denied entry in the country. While he was trying to get relocated, he was involved in another online poker scandal, with the infamous “Girah”, who apparently screwed other online poker players over.
But now with all of these behind him, Cates feels he can finally move forward, and he considers this challenge the perfect way to do so. So, the gloves are off and Cates is waiting for an opponent. The game he wants to duel in is a $200/$400 game of NLHE, with at least $100,000 to be on the line.
The game will be shown live on the internet, with the “usual” 15 minute delay between the actual game and the feed itself. After all, this is a step that needs to be taken in order to ensure that the game is not rigged in any way.
So, it’s now time to play the waiting game, and see which poker player will go up against Cates.
